How to create an API key

An app asked you for a Revoye API key. This page gets you one in about three minutes. You do not need to write any code — create the key here, copy it, and paste it into the app.

1. Sign up

Go to create a Revoye account. Enter your email and a password, then press Create account.

Already have an account? Skip to step 3.

2. Verify your email

Open the email Revoye sent you and follow the link. You will see Your email address is verified.

API keys need a verified address. If the email has not arrived, check your spam folder. The link works once and expires after 24 hours — to get a new one, sign in and press Resend verification email in the yellow bar at the top of the dashboard.

3. Sign in

Go to sign in to Revoye with the same email and password.

4. Create an API key

  1. In the dashboard menu, open API keys.
  2. Under Create a key, give it a Name — the name of the app you are connecting works well, such as SyncDock.
  3. Leave the Scopes as they are.
  4. Press Create key.

5. Copy the key

Press Copy key. It looks like this:

The key is shown only once. Revoye does not keep a copy, so it cannot be shown or emailed to you again. Paste it somewhere safe before you press I have saved it.

Now paste the key into the app you want to connect — Tubeup, SyncDock, or any other app that works with Revoye. That is it — the app is connected.

Keep your key safe

  • Treat the key like a password. Anyone who has it can send prompts through your account.
  • Use one key per app. If you stop using an app, revoke only its key and the others keep working.
  • Lost a key, or think someone else has it? Open API keys, press Revoke on it, and create a new one.

Before the app can get answers

The key connects the app to your account. The answers come from the AI accounts on your own computer, so keep Revoye Desk installed and running.
